| Also, it may be a female reading your letter. To be honest, when I worked in purchasing years ago, I automatically put the bids and proposals addressed simply "Dear Sir" at the bottom of the pile for consideration. It's more business-like to address it "Dear Sir or Madam." |

| Since text speak seems to be taking over the nation, how about skipping the greeting and just saying: Wassup? How r u? And then getting into the matter at hand? |
