Letter Writting
Hi Can you please help. I'm applying for new employment which is advertised internal, I do not work for the company. How do I apply for the post, I know the that the person leaving was in the same position as me. Many Thanks Alan Jackson.

Re: Letter Writting
If I have correctly understood your question, technically you can't apply for a job that is being advertised internally if you don't work for the company. However, a quick letter to the HR dept enclosing your c.v. and stating that you have heard they have a vacancy might be worth a try. Many companies have agreements with staff associations relating to preference for in-house applicants so if there is a good internal candidate you may not have a chance.
