I would probably write smth like this:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Application for post of hotel receptionist
I refer to your advertisement in (
where you found the position and the date) and would like to apply for the post of hotel receptionist.
Details of my education and employment record to date are as set out in the enclosed CV. I am presently employed as ....., a position I took up (
when).
I am genuinely intersted in tourism and I would appreciate it if you would like to see me for a personal interview at your earliest convenience.
