Is this sentence correct?
This is a sentence in a letter:
"With all the respect that you deserve, i would like to take the audacity to make it known to a confidential communication written to (name)..."
My question is about the bold part in the sentence, which I don't believe is written correctly when it is connected with the proceeding words that are underlined. The way I think it should be written is "known about a confidential communication written to (name)..." because it is talking about the written communication.
Anyone who knows the correct way of writting it (either one of the two above or another way) please let me know and explain why it is so. Thanks!

Re: Is this sentence correct?
"With all due respect, and if I may be so bold,
I would like to make it known : this sounds like a public announcement, whereas I think the intention is 'to bring to your private attention'
I would like to bring to your attention a confidential communication written to (name)..."

Ok thanks!, that makes sense, but I'm still wondering about whether this part is written correctly: "known to a confidential communication written to..."
Is it correct to write it that way? it just doesn't sound right to me. I know now that 'to bring to your private attention' works better in this sentence but I want to know if the underlined part is correct or incorrect, I'm just curious because my brother insists that it is but I just don't see how it could be. What do you guys think?
