| I have a question concerning a sentence. I'm a little bit confused about the following sentence. In my schoolbook it says: If payment has already been made please disregard this letter. My English teacher corrected this sentence in my letter: If payment have already been made please disregard this letter. Which one is correct? Thanks in advance for your help. |

| rj is correct. Ask your English teacher, in all innocence and naivete, why should it be plural, not singular? Hopefully, he/she will confess to a moment of aberration (like I sometimes have answering posts at ungodly hours of the morning). |
