| 1.It was considered by Company A that COMPANY C is going to take over COMPANY B’s current role as a vendor of COMPANY D because Company A was being informed by COMPANY C verbally for this arrangement in the beginning of 2008. Mary elaborated how the negotiation between COMPANY B and COMPANY C is going and clarified that this issue is still negotiating. The business relationship between Company A and COMPANY C should be remained the same until an further update. 2.Mary explained the nature of COMPANY B business. COMPANY B has expertise on ceramic product but also supplying VC, toy, tap, etc, in the NORTH. Main customers of COMPANY B are COMPANY D (60%) , high street store(30%) and being a supplier of new building’s fitting (10~12%). . Regarding to the economy recession in the NORTH, COMPANY B expected the forecast of 2009 sales would be in gloom. Sue also commented that the quantity of sales in January would be a critical issue as it could statically tell the YTD sales of the year. 3.New factory facilities were presented to Mary and Sue with leaflets which highlight brief descriptions and pictures of the new production site. COMPANY B showed interests to bath tub products. Kidd has explained the bath tub products are installed with massage function and Company A is aiming for the mid-rang market. The vertically integrated processes for enclosure production and bath tub products was being emphasize by Company A and Kidd has agreed that Company A could consolidate enclosure products, bath tub products and furniture product upon COMPANY B requested. Mary also provided the email address of Lisa for Company A. Company A follow up action: Company A will need to prepare product review for 2009 program and any other new products of interest for COMPANY B and send through to Lucy Humphries as soon as possible. 4.Mary and Sue requested Company A to keep stock accordance a fixed forecast provided by COMPANY B in a one month forward basic, in order to increase the flexibility of order quantity for the product by stock buffering. Sue also requested Fanny to provide inventory level weekly update. Company A responded that the suggestion will be discussed internally by Company A and will get COMPANY B an update on this issue. Company A follow up action: Fanny will discuss the feasibility of this matter with the factory on 4th November 2008. The proposal of what Company A could achieve will being update to Sue by Fanny as soon as possible. COMPANY B follow up action: Sue will send Fanny in detail about what the suggested ordering system would be like that is ideal to COMPANY B. 5.Mary concerned about the defective level of Company A’s products as the complain service log of Company A’s products is about a third of COMPANY B’s CS department has received. Fanny updated that production of COMPANY B’s product has been move to Company A’s new factory in March in 2008. Several product improvements has been done and viewed and also approved by the QA manager, Andrew Ritchie. The clam packs will be used by the on-going COMPANY B’s order from January in 2009 and Company A believed that the pSuelem of missing parts in the package could be terminated by that. 6.Fanny identified difficulties which Company A are facing to deal with customer complaints over the NORTH after the closed down of the NORTH station of Company A. And Cuba Ng suggested COMPANY B to take a proportion of defective allowance offer by Company A, and free Company A from after sale service as the fact that urgent customer complaints are out of satisfaction by Company A slow response all the time after the NORTH station of Company A has closed down. Mary would like to look at Company A’s proposal but reiterate that any replacement for spare parts should be provided by Company A what-so-ever. Company A follow up action: Preparing defective allowance proposal to COMPANY B as soon as possible. COMPANY B follow up action: Mary will request COMPANY B’s CS department to avoid spare parts to be sent by air from Company A. |
