What is the correct salutation for an Air Chief Marshall?

Thank you! :)

Mr. Air Chief Marshall?

His subordinates probably call him Sir.

I'm afraid I don't know. If I met one, I'd probably use 'Marshall' or 'Chief Marshall' and hope for the best. I shall ask around and see if I can find the correct answer.

I have seen some people simply writing in slutation to an air chief marshall, "Dear Mr surname".

I would like to know if this is the correct slautation for an Air Chief Marshall in a letter by a President of a country to the former.

Thank you for answering.

When this country (USA) was just getting started there was much debate about what to call the President. Finally, they settled on Mr. President.. Unfortunately, I am not at all sure what to call an air marshall. However, he probably wouldn't object to Honorable So and So, with "So and So" of course, being whatever his name is.

I'd start with his title, then go to 'Sir'.
