A group of us were given retirement packages a few years ago and one item in this package was fully paid travel insurance by the employer.
Now several years later the company is taking this benefit away. Would like to compose a letter to them to let them know of concern to this. We were told that it would last a life time. Now they r going back on their word.

Yes, I agree with the above post. You may need to a lawyer to resolve your problem since it is a legal issue.
However, before you do you might want to consider writing them a formal letter of complaint [for not being true to their word/not complying with contract] or request and consideration [to give back the benefit]. Also inform them that if they are unable to, you may consider bringing it to court. But try to settle it amicably [through a written letter] first because court hearings are inconvenient and expensive.;-)
