I would like to know haw to write a formal letter to a bank when I want to close my account (I'm not English)

Perhaps its a better idea to go directly to the bank and speak with representatives in person so that you can be sure that there is no misunderstanding or miscommunication?

Sure, that would be better, but it wouldn't be a letter.
