I can’t realise what this sentence means:
‘The conference will take place over two days.’
Does it mean that the conference will take place IN two days, or the conference will continue for more than two days?
If it means IN two days, then it’s the first time I came across that usage.

It means the conference will last two days. For example, it could run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Wednesday.
