“Colon Care” or“Wart Ointment"

Last month, a large Vancouver grocery store, East West Market, tried something new to promote the use of reusable bags.
The store shamed customers who didn’t bring a reusable bag by giving them plastic bags that say embarrassing things like “Colon Care” or “Wart Ointment.” The goal was to motivate customers to bring their own bags out of fear of having to use the embarrassing plastic bags.

Would anyone tell me "Colon Care" and "Wart Ointment" mean? Why are the phrases embarrassing?

The colon is the part of the intestine from the cecum to the rectum.

Wart ointment is something that is used to be put on a wart to make the wart disappear.

I don't know why they are embarrassing.

I guess if the customers go out with the plastic bags which are printed with those things, which might draw attention, so they feel embarrassing, because other people would speculate those customers have such problems.

This is the idea that suddenly pops out of my mind.

That's the version I'm familiar with. Is the one without the first "as" common in AmE?

One, my brain sometimes thinks I'm doing something when I'm not doing it. Two, I see it sometimes, but I don't know how common it is.

No normal person would want to be associated with disorder of the colon or the growth of a wart , much less to carry a label on a bag which implies that the carrier needs care in those respects.

One, I see it as silly more than anything else. Two, shaming your customers is not good business.

It's embarrassing because the text on the bags implies that the person is buying medication for certain medical conditions that people normally do not want others to know about. For instance, it's like carrying a sign that says "This person has warts!"

I didn't make the connection at the beginning when I asked the question.

In China, some companies would give free shopping bags, free fans on which there are printed commericals in the street. Many people and I would take them.

In China, some companies give out free shopping bags and free fans that have advertising on them. Shoppers there are happy to get them. (People always enjoy getting free stuff.).
