Either I spent too much money last night or I spent much too much money last night. Either is bad news and it probably means that I don't have enough now. Of course, that depends on whose money I spent.

:)

Neither is good news, but 'much too much' is worse. ;-)

True.

Thanks, Mike! Thanks, Red!

:D

Ron says "thanks" because he is very polite.

I asked them to cast their votes. "Much too" had too many votes (and still does). Nobody says (that I know of) "I spend much too money". The others make sense, but that one doesn't.

(You can have too many twisters, but not too much twisters.)

(Thanks again, Mike.)

wouldn't it be "too much"?
Yes, the first two choices (too and much too) don't make sense. It should be much and too much.

:)

I think Tdol goofed this time. You can spend much money (a great deal of money) , too much money, and much too much money, but you can't spend too money or much too money.

:)

So... What does "spent much too much money" mean? Is it in use these days?

Pardon my understanding?

I'm innocent (for once)- the third choice is 'much too much'. ;-)

It's like 'far too much'- way over my spending limit. :-D

Glad to hear it. ;-)

Way too much money! (What Tdol said.)

(Pardon my confusion?)

Hey, if everybody got everything the first time we wouldn't have anything to do.

;-)
