Hello everyone
Would you please explain me the meaning of "free money" in this text.

Every time that I could not find exploit that would gain access to the private network, I could always count on employees to unknowingly get me in. I would entice them with free money.
I had some USB drives that labeled "reward if found" which had small program for ...
I placed them in somewhere like parking lot to ....

Free money is a benefit that has no costs. Here, it probably means that the person was not asking for anything directly in return for the money.
