Hello, could you please tell me 'such as' or 'like', which one I should use? Besides, I have trouble deciding which article I should use here. Can you please guide me?

- A country such as/ like Brazil will never prosper until its government takes a right step/the right step/the right steps.

A country such as Brazil will never prosper until its government takes the right steps.

Are you talking about Brazil or countries like Brazil?

I am fairly sure that a lot of people use "such as" and "like" interchangeably.
