B was talking to A relaxing his hand on A's TV or he had put his hand on A's TV. A didn't want B's hand on his TV so he took B's hand off his TV. A removed his hand from his TV.

Please check.

Tom was talking to Tim relaxing his hand on Tim's TV or he had put his hand on Tim's TV. Tim didn't want Tom's hand on his TV so he took Tom's hand off his TV. A removed his hand from his TV.

Is this what you mean?

Tom was talking to Tim while resting his hand on Tim's TV. Tim didn't want Tom's hand on his TV so he removed it.

To physically remove someone else's hand from a piece of furniture seems quite rude, unless done in a joking way.
Perhaps: "Tim didn't want Tom's hand on his TV so he asked him to remove/move it", or "… asked him to take it off".

Tim was jealous of his opulent TV, and Tom's hand was filthy.

That's not a common meaning of jealous, Matthew.

I would not use the adjective "opulent" to describe a TV.

"Expensive/high-end/most advanced" might be more appropriate.

I disagree. The speaker/author may be deliberately being sarcastic by using the pompous "opulent." That's how I interpreted Matthew's sentence in post #7.

I confirm the above interpretation.

Without the sarcasm, Ted's adjectives work well.

Yes.

Tim does seem a little finicky. Why would anybody worry about someone's hand on their TV?

He is a kind of insecure about his household articles.

He is rude.

So, effectively, the upshot is this - Tim's neurotic about his belongings, Tom had the temerity to put his hand on Tim's TV while they were chatting so Tim said something to the effect of "Oy, get your grubby little mitts off my lovely telly".

May I ask, tufguy, what is the purpose of this surprisingly lengthy thread? Do you have a friend who doesn't like people touching his stuff? At what point, in your foreseeable future, are you going to have to use anything that's been demonstrated here? I'm really not sure you've taken to heart our request to stick to real-life situations so that we can help you with practical usable English.

I saw this happen that is why I asked you. There is a kid who does it. For example If somebody touches their laptop so that kid says take your hands off that laptop it is my father's laptop.

Do you have to describe this happening to someone else?
