[Grammar] Adjective or adverb

There is a little water in the jug.
In this sentence '' a little'' is using to express quality of the water(adjective) that it's ''a little'' but at the same time it seems to be adverb because it adds and explain the noun''water''.
''I love her so much''
''There are many fruits there.
''There were two mangoes''
"He has traveled many miles''
I have read definitions of both many times but still i am confused ,Please help me regardingly.
And please tell me
"so'' is it conjunction? and if not then what is it in the parts of speech?

In this sentence, 'so' is an adverb. It modifies the adverb 'much.'

So can also be used as a conjunction or a pronoun.

'a' and 'little' modify the noun 'water' therfore they are being used as
adjectives.

Note that articles are always adjectives.

I don't believe an adverb ever 'adds and and explains' a noun.

I don't want to complicate things, but many people would classify articles differently from this.- determiners, for instance.
