This is a delicate question, but why doesn't "any such a claim" work? By my gut feeling, b) works, but I can't explain why a) doesn't work.

ex)The seller agrees to indemnify the buyer for property sold, provided the buyer notifies the seller in writing of any such claim.

I can't tell you why exactly, but I can tell you simply that after "any/no such" we never use the article.

Any such claim will be immediately rejected.

That's the only reason that a) doesn't work!

Cuz the usage of articles such as "a" or "the" is a very complicated problem. That's the only reason. Anyway, thanks a lot, it seems to be a matter of idiomatic usage.
