Hi guys,
I live about half of a mile from the beach in a beautiful place.

here's my question, should I say "I live at the beach" or "on the beach".
Thanks.

If you're half a mile away, you live near the beach.

thanks, from now on I will say that I live near the beach.

Ok, just one more thing. The name of the place where I live is "Pontal do Ipiranga", which is a Beach.

would it be correct to say "I live at a beach called Pontal do Ipiranga".

If my sentence is not making much sense can you just tell me the difference between "at the beah" and "on the beach"?

thanks.
