[Grammar] attempt of

Hello! I'm new here! As an English student I'd like to know if it's possible to use 'attempt of' or if it's 'understandable' in case I use it.
For example:
nice attempt of being nice
good attempt of finding the keys

Or 'ATTEMPT AT' is the only usage possible?

In those two examples, only 'at' is possible.

I think you will hear "He made a good try of it" to mean he tried but didn't succeed, so you may be merging that with "attempt at." I would also suggest that "make a good try of it" is rather informal.
