Would you please expand on the meaning of "Can space blow your mind" as used here?

This is from an American book, "Packing for Mars".

"Can space blow your mind?"

What does it mean here? Would you please describe it detailly?

Following links can work as a context. I can't make them copy past. Context is in the box in this link.

This is from an American book, "Packing for Mars". We need the name of the author.

Please note my corrections above. I have fixed the hyperlink in post #1. I don't know what you mean by the sentence I have underlined above. I haven't been able to find "Can space blow your mind?" on the page you linked to. Do you understand what "blow your mind" usually means?

Would it overload and damage the astronaut's brain.

Did you try looking up the phrase "blow your mind"?

Of course I did but I more value your explanations than dictionary definitions, and "blow one's mind" is a difficult idiom for me.
