The teacher said, "Both Mike and Jack are good student".

Is "are good student" correct? Should it be "are good students"?
 
No. Yes.

Are you sure that's what he/she said? Is it possible that you might have misheard him/her?

Is "are good student" correct?
It's incorrect in the above, but it's possible in, for example, "Both Mike and Jack are good student representatives".

Should it be "are good students"?
