Many historical plays have been on TV recently. Some people like watching them to know about history. They think the plays are interesting and easy to understand. Both the old and young will have a lot of fun watching them.
(from my friends composition)

I think the
will in the last sentence should be deleted. What do you say?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Yes, you are right, since we are using using present tense here, not future tense. You should use "will" only if the programs haven't aired yet, but you are expecting them to.

Say:

Some people like watching them to learn about history.

And:

Both the young and the old have a lot of fun watching them.
