Hi,
Could someone please let me know which of these sentences are wrong?

1. "My TV broke down."

2. "My TV broke."

3. "My car broke."

4. My car broke down."

Thank you.
 
Personally, I'd say none. If something breaks (down), it stops working.

For 1 and 2, while they would be understood, TVs don't usually break; they stop working.

Number 3 is very odd. Number 4 is quite common.
