Can I use any of these phrases: by law / under the law / according to the law in the following sentence?

By law / Under the law / According to the law, you can't work more than 40 hours a week.
 
Can I use any of these phrases: by law/under the law/according to the law in the following sentence?

By law/Under the law/According to the law, you can't work more than 40 hours a week.

They're all possible but "By law" is, by far, the most natural.
 
Unless you are talking about a specific law, in which case according to and under are better.
