Hi
Are these sentences OK:

1. "I'm not capable to do it". OR maybe it's better "I'm not capable of doing it".
2. "I'm incapable of doing a certain thing". "I'm not capable to do a certain thing".
3. "He cannot think ahead more than one hour". (meaning that thinking ahead one hour is all he can do, in contrast to thinking about tomorrow for example).
4. "It stops my mind from wandering into past or future". maybe it should be "the past or the future".

Thanks

Hi
Are these sentences OK:

1. "I'm not capable to do it". okay OR maybe it's better "I'm not capable of doing it". sounds kinda strange to me
2. "I'm incapable of doing a certain thing". same "I'm not capable to do a certain thing". I would write: "I'm not capable to do anything".
3. "He cannot think ahead (for) more than one hour". (meaning that thinking ahead one hour is all he can do, in contrast to thinking about tomorrow for example). - but I'm not sure about the for
4. "It stops my mind from wandering into past or future". okay maybe it should be "the past or the future". - why? there is only one past and one future - you cannot specify them.

Thanks

Anyway I hope I could help you!

[STRIKE]kinda[/STRIKE], kind of ;-)

1. I can't do it.
2. I am unable to do it.
3. I am incapable of doing it.

(from the most frequent to the rarest in terms of occurence in usage across all registers)
