As there is a change in my trip plan, I need to take an extra day. Can I apply for a vacation day on April 8, 2013?

As there is a change in my trip plan, I need to take an extra day. Can I apply for a vacation day on April 8, 2013?

There has been a slight amendment to my forthcoming trip and I need to take an extra day's leave on April 8th, 2013 (leave for April 1st to April 5th already booked). I would be very grateful if you would approve this request. Thank you.
