Hello, I am researching the comma use with the word 'as' and I am not sure if I should use a comma before 'as' in this sentence. It's a long sentence so I feel there needs to be a pause, but the sentence also sounds like a simile to me (?) which would mean I should omit the comma?
In our home , cleaning the stove means to clean every surface by pouring water over all surfaces as was done by my mother.
