Why don't we emigrate? If we lived in Australia, at least the weather will be better.
Why 'will be' is correct?

I would prefer "would be", but I can imagine people saying "will be".

I don't think "will be" is correct at all. Who is calling it correct?
"If we lived in Australia, the weather would be better."
"If we live in Australia, the weather will be better."

"If we went to live in Australia, the weather would be better."
"If we go to live in Australia, the weather will be better."
