country name plus plural verb

Hi teachers,

I have already asked this question but I want to ask more sentences related to it.

I try to follow BrE.

So,

If XXX (country's name) lose (not loses) the match, she/it will not qualify for the semi-final. Can I use "they" in place of "she/it"?

Today XXX (country's name) are (not is) going to play against XXX (country's name).

XXX (country's name) has (not have) lost to XXX (country's name).

I would say "If England lose the match, they will not qualify for the semi-final".

In the first, you can't use "he/she/it". Use "they" when talking about a country's team name.

If England lose the match, they won't qualify for the semi-final.
