Could you tell me if I used the phrasal verb correctly in these sample sentences.

*Our anniversary is just around the corner and it's just dawned on me that we need to have our photos printed.

*I have videos of our reunion last year taken on my camera, and it has just dawned on me that you should see them.

Yes, they are correct.
 
Yes, if you mean that it just occurred to you for the first time. It's not the same as remembering.
