I'm having trouble identifying the different parts of the speech in the following sentences;

1.- Stretching up helped Steve to see over the top of the fence.
2.- Although virtue is often its own reward, it can give you a very boring life?

We like to help when we can, but a good dictionary, such as one of the many you can find here will give you most of your answers quickly and efficiently.

You will find we will always ask you to make your best effort to answer a question yourself first. While "Stretching" may be tricky, other words in your sentences are clearly only one part of speech, so you should be able to answer some.

So try to answer this yourself first and then we'll help you with the others.

PS - We are not professors here, or at least, very few are.
