Background:
After four years of working there, my school has given me a room for my English Conversation and Culture course.
My last school did so after just one year.
I decorated the old room in order to turn it into an English only space.
Today:
I have just started preparing for the move into my dedicated classroom. I want the place to be beyond amazing so they never take it away from me.
I made a start by converting two scrap desks into useful positions.
The Guru station will hold my computer and other teacher stuff.
The MC position will have a mic and small sound system. I see no advantage in me running student presentation lessons when the students can do so.
HMS Victory and the Cutty Sark are there for lessons in grades 4, 5, and 6 where we discuss colonialism and the spread of the English tongue.
It will take a couple of months as the long holiday is in the way, but I'll post updates here.
