This is an entry from my diary. Please check it and correct any mistakes.

My father did a scary thing today. I saw him using a spoon to stir coffee, and then rinsed the spoon with dirty dish water, finally just put it back to the clean cutlery tray. I was really shocked. No wonder I often get stomachache. I usually cleaned the cutlery with tap water before I use them, but now I definitely wash them with detergent.

Fair enough. He probably grew up during a time where hygiene was not important, and, as the saying goes, "old habits die hard".
