Diary - Our washing machine has broken

Our washing machine has broken but my mum doesn't want to buy a new one. She said probably we will move to another apartment so it's not cost-effective to buy a new one. She won't bring the machine with us when we move. I've been washing my clothes by hand for a month. To me, washing bedsheets is the toughest job. Now, I acknowledge that washing machines are one of the greatest inventions.

She said we will probably move to a new apartment soon, so it wouldn't be cost-effective to buy a new one at this time. She won't bring the machine with us when we move. It seems more likely that she said it wouldn't be worth it at this time to buy a new one. (The term "cost effective" is not one most of us use although we understand it.)
