Does a racing bike have "levers", "gears", "shifters" or all of them? Thank you.

As far as I know, in the UK, it's "gears". They do have "levers" but they're on the handlebars and they control the brakes.

Those are all different things. What exactly are you referring to?

What about "gear levers" as an alternative to "(bicycle) shifter"? Thank you.

No. The shifter may be a lever, but it's not a "gear lever."

This is from Wikipedia:

"A bicycle shifter or gear control or gear levers is a component used to control the gearing mechanisms and select the desired gear ratio."

Would you please be so kind as to clarify? I'm a little bit thick. Thank you.

I am saying that in my experience, the word used is "shifter."

I'm not sure what you want us to clarify. Wikipedia clearly says that all those terms are used for the same thing. I think you'll need a keen cyclist from each of the different English variant regions to tell you what's used where they are.

Do you change gear on your bike or do you change gears on your bike? Thank you.

I don't have a bike. I change gear in my car.

I've spent a large portion of my life putting together and fixing up bikes. I've always called the parts in question 'shifters'. I'd call 'levers' only the parts that you move with your thumbs.

Wikipedia is not always right, because by its own admission it does not aspire to be right. Instead, Wilipedia's goal is to tell the world what most people think. Or as I put it way back when Wikipedia first launched, it tells us what everyone believes except the people who really know.
