[General] Does "Basketball is the sport I most often play" sound right?

Hi,
Would the sentence "Basketball is the sport I most often play" seem awkward? If yes, what would you recommend to say?
I have tried Googling several ways of expressing this concept, but none of them appeared to be the right ones.:-(

Either 'most' or 'the most' will do.
Don't forget "Basketball is my favourite sport" - which doesn't mean exactly the same, of course.
