Some people think that the government is wasting money on the arts and this money could be better spent elsewhere.

To what extend do you agree with this view?

Art exhibits the height of conception of a human and it would convey a considerable measure of things like thought, society, customs, and so forth to the present and future eras. In my opinion, the government spending on art is not a waste of money. This essay shall discuss about how spending on art is not a misuse of cash.

A work of art is valuable to a society, since it can communicate to the future generation. In some cases, a government preserves art, which are so valuable ,for the benefit of public, since such work can impart positive attitude, knowledge and so forth. For example, the painting 'Mona Lisa' is kept in a museum by the government of France and many students from the globe could study from it today.

Art can bypass the barriers of languages in different communities, and it can be easily understood and better than multitude of words. Hence, it is a good media to communicate an idea or opinion globally that might be troublesome otherwise. For example, the famous painting 'Last Supper' can be comprehended by any dialect group.

Additionally, teachers can utilize piece of art to teach the students which help them to visualize a concept or procedure. Thus, a student can learn a concept or procedures faster because visual perception is easy to remember and comprehend. For example, many science labs in schools use painting or sculptures for teaching purpose.

In conclusion, people can learn a lot through careful analysis of art that can inspire themselves, impart knowledge or build up positive attitude in life and it is the onus of government to protect and support the art.

Art exhibits the height of conception of a human and it would convey a considerable measure of things like thought, society, customs, and so forth to the present and future eras. For the same reason, a government spending on arts is not a waste of money. This essay shall discuss on why it is the onus of a government to spend on arts.

Firstly, a society adores a piece of work if created skillfully because of its aesthetic appearance and the complicated skill involved in making of it. The people admires such work and ready to pay a huge amount of money. However, some works are considered priceless and become a national treasure. Therefore, a government preserves such priceless paintings or sculptures so that public can view it. For example, the famous painting 'Mona Lisa' is kept in a museum and people from the globe come to watch and study it.

Secondly, some painting and sculptures are preserved by a government as antiques and as a tool to study the history. Also, the future generation can benefit from such works for learning history and other techniques of art and therefore it should become a public property. Many paintings reveal the traditions, lifestyle, and culture in their work and therefore it is important to preserve it.

In conclusion, people adore a masterpiece of a craftsman, and they can infer the history of their own people from arts. Therefore , a government spending money on arts is justifiable.
