Ellie speaks to Jack:

Ellie: Ellie, who, for reasons no one understands, drives you around in her car.

What does "for reasons" mean?
I assume "for reasons" is the act of driving around in the car with no clear explanation of why such thing is currently happening

Based on reasons for his action.

It's another way to say "Ellie drives you around in her car. No one understands why."
