Do they all mean the same or are there slight differences in nuance?

I am especially curious about the first one.
Does it mean the opportunity is already given
or is it simply making a hypothesis just like the other two?

How about this for an example:

If given the opportunity, most people definitely would want to make their own movies.

Can I take out "if" or replace it with "when" without changing the meaning?

These two have the same meaning. I wouldn't use "when".
