go picnic/ go on a picnic.

I check the key of the test and there is a phrase "go picnic".
I've checked in dictionary and found on the web but I only found "go on a picnic or go for a picnic'.
Is it correct to say: Go picnic?

It may be possible but it's not nearly as natural as "go on a picnic."
