I would like to say 'I go to university on foot', meaning that I go to a lecture/seminar. Is it correct?

Not a teacher

It seems ok to me. But personally I would say 'I walk to university'.

'I go to the university on foot' or 'I walk to the university' tells us what you do habitually.

For a single occasion you'd say 'I'm walking to the university for a lecture'.
