Hi,

1- A: Had you (got) a car when you were 15?
B: No, I hadn't.

2- You had (got) a car when you were 15, hadn't you?

They are my sentences. Do they sound OK? If yes, do they sound archaic?

Thanks.

Number 1 should be Did you have a car. It's not idiomatic as written, with or without got.

The statement in number 2 is possible if you leave out got, but the tag should be didn't you?

Had you got a car works for me in BrE. Had you a car sounds very old-fashioned and I wouldn't use it.
