I've got a question - what does "happy days" at the end of a letter / message mean? Is it similar to "have a nice day" ?

and "be safe" - does that mean "take care"?

I've no idea what "happy days" might mean, but yes, "be safe" is similar to "take care".

I would think it means "I wish for you to have happy days."
