01 - He has good taste in music.
02 - He has a good taste in music.

Are both sentences right?

I prefer the one without "a".

Only sentence 01 is natural.

You say his taste/tastes, but a good taste doesn't feel natural.

Both ways are natural to me.

I cold use it if I thought that someone's taste in one area was good, but there were other areas that were suspect.
