Hello,

Can I use the idiom "spring to life" in the context of romance?

What do you think about these?

He felt like a ghost all day until she called him and then he would spring to life.

She was sad and miserable all day but when she saw him, she sprang into life.

I'd separate those compound sentences with commas.

They're fine otherwise.

You mean here?

He felt like a ghost all day, until she called him and then he would spring to life.

She was sad and miserable all day, but when she saw him, she sprang into life.

Are they natural and idiomatic?
