In this synthesis exercise, why is my answer incorrect?

Question: He is careless. Everybody has to wait for him.

My answer: His carelessness has resulted in everybody waiting for him.
(I have to use ‘has resulted’ which is fixed in its position)

A practice paper which a friend was doing. I saw the question and attempted it.

The correct answer given was 'His carelessness has resulted in everybody having to wait for him.'

I don't understand what's the difference between the correct answer and mine.

"Everybody waited for him" does not necessarily imply "Everybody had to wait for him."

Why the need to use 'having to wait'?

The original said "Everybody has to wait for him" not "Everybody waits for him". If you don't use "... resulted in everybody having to wait for him" you lose the idea expressed by "has to" in the original.

I don't know what the problem is. "Is" should be at the end of the sentence. I have seen a lot of students make the same mistake.

You've lost some meaning. I did and I had to do are not synonymous.
