"Good luck. I hope it all goes well"
If I say this to someone just before their exams, would "hope" be more close to "think/believe" (as in there is a certain sense of surety) or to "wish" (anything could happen and this is just what I wish)?
Also, is it OK to use "it" before "all" here or is the correct form "hope all goes well"? Should I omit one of those wishes? Do they come off as repetition. (The good luck and the part where I hope)
