Microsoft has about 2,8000 employees in this area and 5,7000 worldwide.

Does this sentence say Microsoft has 5,7000 employees or 2,8000+5,7000 employees (that is, 8,5000) in all?

Thank you in advance.

No, it should mean 5,7000 in total.
By the way, in English this would be expressed as 57,000 if you mean fifty-seven thousand; or 5,700 if you mean five thousand, seven hundred.

Thank you very much, Raymott. And sorry, it was too careless of me to spell the two figures the wrong way. They should have been 57,000 and 27,000.
