Is there any idiom for this phrase?
I have never understood how to treat him and get along whit him(maybe he blows hot and cold)

Blow hot and cold suggests that your relationship goes through positive and negative periods. It's used when someone, for instance, likes and idea at first, then starts to be less enthusiastic, etc. How about something like saying that you two have never hit it off?

I would have thought that "to get along with someone" was an idiom. It means to have friendly, cordial relations with someone.
