Skrej has a good point when it comes to talking about working hours. I hadn't considered that usage in my first response. I was thinking terms of saying how long something took, or how long I'd waited, or similar usages.
I work in a job where my working hours and my leave are expressed in hours and minutes or hours plus a decimal, rather than in days/weeks. A working week for me is 29.75 hours (and yes, I would say "twenty-nine point seven five hours"). If I take a full day off as leave, I have to take 8.75 hours' leave if it's a weekday, and 8.25 hours' leave if it's a Saturday. I would say those aloud as "eight point seven five" and "eight point two five".
